I'm proud to announce that my poem "Things That Cannot Be Eaten" is up for your reading pleasure at Enchanted Conversation. This is the Hansel and Gretel issue! It is full of beautiful tales. Does anyone else think Hansel and Gretel is unappreciated these days?
This marks my first paid publication as a writer. Years ago, when I hid my poetry in a small journal hardly any bigger than my first, I never thought someone would ever want to pay me for such emotional words. (And no one has because the published poem was written in August, haha.)
This also marks my first bout of anxiety over 'oh god why didn't I revise this again!' I have revised it since its acceptance, but I'm happy with both versions.
